Picarro Hero Award Winners will also to be featured in Booth #931

Santa Clara, CA — November 29, 2023 — Picarro Inc., a leading provider of gas concentration and stable isotope analyzers and systems for science and industrial applications, will once again be participating in the annual American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting. The AGU Fall Meeting is one of the world's largest scientific conferences and will be held 11-15 December 2023 in San Francisco, CA.

On the show floor in Booth #931, Picarro will feature three in-depth product demos. Picarro will preview the PI5310 mid-infrared (IR) cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) gas concentration analyzer. The PI5310 simultaneously measures nitrous oxide (N2O) and carbon monoxide (CO) gas concentrations down to 20 parts per trillion, enabling high-precision N2O quantification.

“Nitrous oxide is emitted from synthetic fertilizers, wastewater, and fossil fuels and is 300 times more potent at warming the atmosphere than carbon dioxide, making advancing nitrogen cycle research key to mitigating climate change,” said Joel Avrunin, Vice President, Environmental at Picarro. “With the addition of the PI5310 analyzer to our portfolio, Picarro is continuing its tradition of delivering the high-precision measurements of greenhouse gases needed for critical environmental research.”

Demos of the flagship Water Isotope Analysis System with the new Autosampler will also be available at AGU. The new peripheral offers new features that improve ease of use including a customizable tray that supports a variety of sample methods, a larger window that allows easier syringe access and accommodates most syringe sizes, and light and audio status indicators that make it easier to monitor project progress. For agriculture and soil scientists looking to measure δ13C in CO2 and CH4 simultaneously, the G2201-i integrated with the Eosense eosAC Multi-Species Soil Flux Chamber will be featured. The combination of these two instruments enables researchers to take precise measurements and quickly and easily process gas flux data.

To close out our yearlong celebration of Picarro’s 25th anniversary, we’ll feature a video of our Picarro Hero Award finalists. The program was launched at last year’s AGU to recognize and promote the world-changing work of scientists who use Picarro analyzers. Booth visitors will learn which of their favorite scientists won.

Picarro will also present and be featured in several poster sessions on a variety of topics:
